mike perkins Hi. My name's
Mike Perkins. I'm the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for
The Shantee. For me, music is a way to connect with other people.
Its soothing pulse steadily chips away at my "protective"
layers and allows my true self to be free. It allows me to gaze
into the eyes of friends, as well as strangers, and know that
deep down we're all the same. It's a giant invisible wave carrying
us all to shore. It's in every smile, every campfire, and in
every tree. Music reminds me that I'm alive, and that goodness
never really dies. Music is love . . . love is music, and they
both are here to help us along in our journey. |
